Salamanca man exhausts appeals in murder conviction

A Salamanca man has run out of appeals…In 2003, Chad Mack pleaded guilty to murder and robbery in the killing of a Schuyler County woman.  Now, a New York judge says he has exhausted his appeals.  Mack pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and first-degree robbery in the killing of Theresa Ford in her Town of Orange home in August 2002. When he pleaded, Mack said he brought his girlfriend, Elizabeth Kettle, also of Salamanca, to Ford's home to rob her at gunpoint, and that he gave Kettle the loaded handgun, which he said she used to kill Ford. Kettle, who is now 31, is serving a sentence of 35 years to life at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility.
