Limestone woman badly burned in Sunday fire

10:45am UPDATE: A Limestone woman remains in serious condition this afternoon after she was burned when her house caught fire early Sunday. Renay Manley is currently at ECMC undergoing treatment. She was pulled from her Parkside Drive home by her son and another person. Officials say the blaze began in an upstairs bedroom, but investigators have not identified the cause yet. The fire caused heavy damage to the home. At least 30 firefighters from Limestone, Allegany, Kill Buck and Derrick City.

Officials continue to investigate a fire that reportedly severely burned a 58-year-old woman. The Sunday fire was reported on Parkside Drive in Limestone. The Bradford Era says officials continue to investigate the cause of the blaze, which damaged the one and a half-story home and resulted in the woman’s injuries and the death of her dog. The woman was pulled from the burning house by her teenage son and his friend.  Limestone volunteers had help from Derrick City, Allegany and Kill Buck.
