Icy roads late yesterday and overnight resulted in numerous accidents in the Twin Tiers. Most were property damage or involved minor injury. However...in Eldred...
33-year old Denise Evans of Turtlepoint suffered moderate injuries when her vehicle slid through an intersection and was struck by a dump truck. The accident happened on McCrea Brook Road where it intersects with state route 446. 44-year old Ricky Mathews of Bolivar was driving the dump truck...and wasn’t seriously hurt. Troopers said both vehicles sustained severe damage. Police say their investigation continues this morning.
