TWO INMATES ARRESTED FOR POSSESSING EDGED WEAPONS AT WYOMING CORRECTIONAL FACILITY

On January 17, 2012 New York State Police, Warsaw, NY arrested the following two NYSDOCCS Inmates for criminal activity they committed while previously incarcerated at Wyoming Correctional Facility, Dunbar Road, Town of Attica, Wyoming County, NY in late 2011.
1) Inmate Wellington RAMOS, age 29, currently at Lakeview CF, Brocton, NY, was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd, Promoting Prison Contraband 1st, both Class D Felonies and for Criminal Mischief 3rd, a Class E Felony pursuant to being found by staff in M1 Dorm on October 14, 2011 attempting to hide three (3) edged metal weapons in a ceiling vent in a bathroom.
2) Inmate Dijon THOMAS, age 20, currently at Lakeview CF, Brocton, NY, was arrested for Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd, Promoting Prison Contraband 1st, both Class D Felonies pursuant to be found to possess an edged metal razor weapon secreted in the groin area of his underwear near the Mess Hall area on November 3, 2011.
Both Inmates were arraigned in Wyoming County Court in front of Judge Mark H. Dadd and returned to NYSDOCCS. Both Inmates are to return to Court on March 15, 2012.
Inmate RAMOS is serving a sentence for Robbery 1st out of Bronx County, NY.
Inmate THOMAS is serving a sentence for Manslaughter 1st and Attempted Assault 2nd out of Erie County, NY.
