Slocum trial enters day 2

The jury was seated Monday afternoon in the trial of Rev. Samuel Slocum, the Catholic Priest charged with Corruption of Minors and other counts. McKean County District Attorney Ray Learn told jurors the case is not about sex abuse. Instead, he said, it’s about people in positions of authority and what their appropriate roles are. In contrast, the Defense said while Slocum committed no crime, he should have used better judgment. Slocum is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a teenage boy. The alleged victim was the first witness called. The trial continues today.
