Olean schools facing difficult decisions

The Olean City Board of Education will soon have to face the stark reality of a multi-million budget deficit…but it doesn’t plan to make knee-jerk reactions. Instead, the school board plan to digest newly obtained information and to hold community forums to elicit comments. Last night, the Board reviewed a feasibility study which offered several recommendations…Among them…the suggestion that the district move to a single campus pre-K through 12th grade. The School Board wants to begin making financial decisions by the end of February.
