Meth lab raided in Wellsville

     After a joint months long investigation Member of the Wellsville Police Department, the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, The Allegany County Sheriffs Drug Unit, The State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team, State Police Special Operations Response Team, and the New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant at an apartment located at 23 South Main Street in the Village of Wellsville.  

      The search warrant was the result of an investigation opened by members of the Wellsville Police Department after several concerned citizens reported to the Wellsville Police their suspicion of subjects manufacturing and selling methamphetamine   at that location. As the investigation progressed the STRDTF and Sheriffs Narcotic unit became involved as well as the Allegany County District Attorney Keith Slep. Allegany County Court Judge Terrence Parker issued the search warrant which was executed at 0600 Hrs. today’s date.  Members of the Wellsville Volunteer Fire Department and the Wellsville Volunteer Ambulance Corps were on standby during the detail.


     As a result of the investigation the above mentioned agencies developed information that lead to a second search warrant issued by Wellsville Village Justice Christopher O’Connor for an apartment located at 25 Madison Street in the Village.  The investigation continues at 25 Madison St.


     There will be a Press Conference at 2:00P.M. at the Wellsville Police Dept. 46 South Main St. Wellsville, N. Y.
