Food For Thought

Looking for a new career?  Cattaraugus Community Action is offering a 15 week culinary arts training program called Food For Thought, which is funded through the New York State Department of State.   It will be offered free of charge for out of school youth (Ages 17-24), as well as displaced adults, who qualify by meeting poverty guidelines and other eligibility requirements.  Students will acquire culinary arts skills, ServSafe Certification, the Work Readiness Credential, hands on internships, connections with employers, and job placement and retention supports.  This job training session will begin February 6, 2012, and participants will be required to register by February 1st.  For more information on the Food For Thought Program, please call Community Action at (716) 945-1041.
