Richburg man accused of violating probation

Allegany County Sheriff Rick Whitney reports that on December 30, 2011 at 10:20am, Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Chad A. Smith, age 24, of 118 Broad St, Richburg, on a Violation of Probation Warrant issued out of the Village of Bolivar Court.  Smith was arraigned in the Village of Bolivar Court before Justice Janet Calcagno who remanded him to the Allegany County Jail on $7500 Cash Bail or $10,000 Bond. He is scheduled to reappear in Bolivar Village Court on January 19, 2012 at 6:30 pm.

Smith was originally charged, convicted and sentenced to Time Served along with 5 years probation after his arrest for Criminal Sale of Marijuana in the 4^th Degree following an incident where he sold marijuana to an agent of the Allegany County Narcotics Unit in the summer of 2009.
