Kudos to Solomon's Words for the Wise

In August 2011, Colonial Radio Group launched WVTT News Radio which operates at 96.7 in Olean and 103.9 in Kane and streams online at www.wvtt.net. While the local radio market wasn't used to this type of format it has begun to catch on (thankfully). Shortly after the News Radio broadcast side began, this news blog was born.  There are two types of News Blogs: The casual and the intense. We believe we fall into the intense category because it is content heavy and updated throughout the day, seven days a week. Maintaining this type of news blog is no easy task. This site has worked passionately to be viewed as a credible source for news and information. But what's fair is fair...we're new...There are plenty of more established news blogs out there, but our staff would like to acknowledge one in particular. This is why, as 2011 draws to a close, we would like to recognize Solomon's Words for the Wise.

Blogging since 2007, Solomon's has set the bar high for others to follow. We admire and appreciate the efforts put forth by Solomon's and know first hand the time involved in delivering a quality product. Solomon's has loyal viewers. Ours is growing. 2012 should be an exciting year for residents of the Twin Tier's. With the longevity of Solomon's and the spark of this younger upstart Blog, readers should be well served.
In closing, to all who make Solomon's Words for the Wise as classy as it is, we say Cheers and Happy New Year!

Michael Baldwin, News Director
WVTT & Colonial Radio Group

  7. This was a nice post in that one person says a nice thing about another...don't see that much these days. Both sites are- different but kinda the same...and they compliment each other...at least my wife and me think so. This site makes a nice companion to the radio. How 'bout this...kudos to both!

  8. Just wish there was more live coverage of local stuff. Would love to have the Olean Common Council meetings broadcast either on the radio or local tv. Same for Bradford
