The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation announced on its website Wednesday that the public comment period for the proposed hydrofracking regulations has been extended. The new deadline for comments is Jan. 11, 2012. Independent Oil and Gas Association of New York executive director Brad Gill issued a short statement ...the message was straight-forward.
He said "While the extension of the comment period may seem inconsequential to some, it is in fact a continuation of the existing four-year ban on economic opportunity for Upstate New York.”
