ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – For the second consecutive week, the St. Bonaventure women's basketball team is Receiving Votes in the Associated Press Poll, garnering one vote in the rankings released Monday afternoon.

Off to a program-record-tying 11-1 start, the Bonnies are currently riding a seven-game winning streak following a  68-49 triumph at Colgate last Thursday, Dec. 22. The win moved SBU's road record to 6-0 on the year, as the Brown and White concluded last week as the only team in the nation with a 6-0 road mark.

Bonaventure is the only team in the Atlantic 10 Conference with 11 victories, and the only club in the league appearing in the AP Poll.

This is the latest in a season that the Bonnies have ever Received Votes in the national polls, and  just the sixth time in program history. Prior to last week, the program was ranked during the 2008-09 season on Dec. 8, 2008, and for three consecutive weeks in the 2009-10 season from Dec. 8-22.

The ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll will be released Tuesday afternoon.

St. Bonaventure returns to action on Thursday, Dec. 29, against Villanova at the Monmouth University Hawks Holiday Classic. The Wildcats are 9-2 and were Receiving Votes last week's ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m., and the Bonnies will face either host Monmouth or Norfolk State in the tournament's second day on Dec. 30.
