Allegany County Grand Jury indicts two men

An Allegany County Grand Jury has handed up indictments against two men. 30-year old Thomas O’Brien of Alma was indicted for Felony Attempted Rape, Unlawful imprisonment and Forcible Touching. Prosecutors say O’Brien tried to forcible have sex with another person. It allegedly happened in May in Friendship.


42-year old Christian R. Gaylord of friendship was indicted on charges of Felony Rape and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The crimes allegedly happened more than two years ago in Friendship when Gaylord is accused of having sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 17. Both men await arraignments in county court.

  1. The Allegany County Grand Jury Would Indict a Ham sandwich and indictment was decided without hearing defendant's testimony and with no evidence!.

  2. Yes..... It has been dismissed on Janurary 28, 2013 News and Newspapers should report both events not just singulary event.

  3. I find it disturbing that news/media organizations do not automatically print updates when an individual is found not guilty or cases are dismissed. It is shameful and unprofessional on the part of legitimate press to not follow-up in cases where the individual is found innocent...
