An American Airlines plane made an emergency landing at the Buffalo airport Sunday night due to smoke in the cockpit. Flight 177 left from New York's J.F.K. Airport en route to San Francisco. 173 passengers were on born. The N.F.T.A. says the plane landed as a precaution and there were no incidents or injuries.
