Village police responded to a reported one car motor vehicle accident at the intersection of North Brooklyn Avenue and Chamberlain Street. Upon arrival it was discovered that a vehicle being operated by Nikki D Ost, 25, of Wellsville had struck a utility pole, shearing it off. Ost was uninjured and was charged with DWI, aggravated DWI, failure to keep right and Aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd. She was released to a third party and is due in village court at a later date to answer the charges.
Village electric crews responded to install a new pole.
