Allegany town board talks wind farms tonight

The Allegany Town Board meets tonight…but its location has changed. The Board will meet at the Senior Center on Birch Run Road.  The Council is likely to again take up the issue of establishing a six month moratorium to halt activity on wind farm construction. Town Supervisor John Hare has previously said the issue would be addressed tonight…but didn’t guarantee a final vote on the issue. It’s been a heated debate…with no shortage of opinions. Last month, more than 150 people attended a meeting on the topic.
