WVTT’S Jeff Andrulonis was at last night’s Smethport borough council meeting... Repairs to Hamlin lake dam consumed some of the discussion. E and M engineering has created a plan that calls for spillway repairs and sealant for the face of the dam- among other things. The entire project is estimated at $191 thousand dollars and will be paid out of existing borough funds so there’s no need to borrow money. For three years, DEP reported potential problems with the dam.
