State Police are investigating a burglary and an attempted burglary in Potter County. Troopers said Sallie Geffers of Main Street in Coudersport reported that her home had been broken into and cash from a cash box was stolen. Meanwhile on Pleasant Valley Road, Paul Latshaw said somebody tried to pry open a back door at his home. Police said the would-be thief was unsuccessful.
