Correctional Officer Arrested For Contraband

A corrections officer is in custody today after authorities say that he brought in contraband to the inmates in the Lakeview Correctional Facility in Brocton. According to New York State Police, 53-year-old German Lesmes of Fredonia, NY was arrested for bringing contraband into the facility. The contraband is considered a food item, which is a violation of the NYS Correctional Services rules and regulations. The State Police, NYS Department of Correctional Services and the Chautauqua County DA’s office have been investigating Lesmes for the past 8 months.
